20th Annual Golf Classic Benefit

The Education Foundation of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit (Bucks IU) is excited to be holding their 20th Annual Golf Classic Benefit on Monday October 9, 2017 at The Doylestown Country Club, located on Country Club Lane in Doylestown Pennsylvania. Home to a stunning and challenging 18-hole golf course and wonderful clubhouse, offering superb cuisine, this private club will be open to the public this one day just for this special event.  All proceeds benefit the Bucks IU Education Foundation; an independent, private, nonprofit, charitable organization whose objective it is to fund creative and innovative educational opportunities for Bucks County students with special needs. To date, the Education Foundation has awarded over $450,000 in grants.

The Golf Classic will begin with a lovely buffet luncheon followed by a shotgun start of 18 holes of golf with snacks and beverages supplied at the 5th and 13th holes.  The always exciting, and challenging, putting contest will be a featured activity once again. Finals for the putting contest will be held once everyone has completed their round of golf. The reception following includes an open bar, cocktail food stations, and dinner featuring roast beef, meatballs, wings, and ribs.  During the dinner service breaks, the awards ceremony and door prizes presentation will be held. Tickets for the full day of golf, food and activities are $200, with $35 tickets available for anyone who may wish to just attend the reception and awards ceremony.  Participation in additional special 20th anniversary activities, taking place throughout the day, is optional.

Italian Festival benefitting Libertae

Celia and myself will be hosting a series of special nights that will be open to the public. The proceeds from these events will benefit Libertae House in Bensalem, Pa. This is a place for women who seek freedom from drug addictions. See their web site at  http://www.libertae.net

The first event is scheduled on Wednesday October 11th at the Twining Hall. Cost is $25.00. We will be offering an Italian night with a great menu including antipasto tables, salads, pasta served family style and a buffet dinner. We'll also have great desserts, espresso and cappuccino. The first drink is on Nick and a cash bar will be available. Doors will open at six. Come and socialize with other people in the area and bring along friends, families, co workers and clients. You will find it to be a great evening:

Antipasto table: Variety of Chacuterie, Artisanal Cheeses, Mussels in white sauce, Tuscan Skewers, Cannellini beans with sage and Broccoli Rabe

Salad Table: Garden Salad, Caesar Salad, Chilled Polpetti Salad,

Designer Bag Bingo to Support Women's Humane Society

Join us on Saturday, November 4th at St. Cyril’s Parish Hall in Jamison, PA for an evening of fun and competition – all in support of a truly meaningful cause. Our Designer Bag Bingo fundraiser will directly benefit the care and rehoming of our shelter animals!
 
Handbags will include all of the most popular brands, including Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach, and more. Tickets can be purchased for $35/person and include ten games of bingo; complimentary soda and hot beverages; and entry into our door prize raffle. Doors open at 6pm, and bingo starts at 7pm.
 
Pizza by the slice and snacks will be available for purchase! Large plain pizzas can be requested for a group for $15 each pie. If your group would like to order, please select the option when ordering your tickets through the form below. Snacks and food may also be brought from home.
