SCORE to Offer 2 Free Biz-Related Webinars in July

On July 12, SCORE will offer “What Accounting Services Should an Accountant Provide a Small Business?”

Led by Certified Public Accountant Kevin Fischer, the session will help attendees effectively vet potential accountants. Fischer will share key elements used in determining a company’s profitability and will help business owners determine the criteria needed to make difficult decisions related to business finances, debt management and hiring.

Fischer will discuss:

=       The differences between effective and ineffective accountants

=       Types of services that accountants typically provide

=       The general direction of accounting and the CPA profession

On July 19, SCORE will present “How to Determine Your Success --- Start with Your Why.

Led by Christopher Nagy, a superintendent of schools in New Jersey, published author, business consultant and adjunct professor of graduate and doctoral programs, the session will focus on the “why” of a company. Participants will be engaged in key business leadership stories and will be guided in a self-reflective process to reaffirm the “why” and maintain a focus on business in an uncertain world.

Nagy will share:

=       Integral principles to support platforms that focus on the “why” of companies

=       Insight from top business thought leaders including Simon Sinek, Seth Godin, Adam Grant, as well Apple and Google leadership teams.

=       Principles of applied positive psychology and work with the Stanford University Design School futurist team.

=       Business resources that attendees can use to support and sustain leadership teams around the “why.”
