NOVA Receives a Donation of Household Items from Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Employees
NOVA, Bucks County’s comprehensive crime victim services agency, recently received a generous donation of household items from employees of Hand & Stone’s corporate office in Trevose, Pa. The items donated included cleaning supplies, non-perishable food
and personal care items and they will be given to clients who experiencing
financial hardships.
The Hand & Stone corporate team visited NOVA’s Jamison office as part of a holiday event. At the event, they learned more about NOVA’s mission and assembled donation baskets and bags that will be given to NOVA clients throughout the year. Being a victim of crime has many ramifications, some of which include financial difficulties. This can make the purchase of common household items or food a hardship for many people. Donations, like the baskets and bags donated by Hand & Stone, helps ease some of NOVA clients’ financial burdens, allowing them to focus on their healing.
“NOVA is so appreciative of the many ways our community business partners step up to support our work, especially when the support directly benefits our clients,” said Julie Dugery, NOVA Coordinator of Volunteers and Community Outreach. “The Hand & Stone corporate team went above and beyond, volunteering to sort and package the donated items as part of their staff holiday event in December. We are so grateful for the support of Hand & Stone and look forward to partnering with them in the future.”
“Hand & Stone, the nation's leading luxury massage and facial spa franchise, is dedicated to providing enjoyable and safe experiences to its customers, and this commitment extends beyond the walls of our spas,” said Jeanine Linehan, General Counsel, Hand and Stone. “It is a privilege to support NOVA and give back to a local community of those struggling to overcome trauma. We are honored to have assembled donations of common household goods to those who need it most, and we are hopeful our contributions made someone’s day a little easier and more enjoyable.”
