SUMMARY:

The part-time event staff employee is a per event employee who works specifically in the area of customer service at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Areas of responsibility change by post assigned on an event by event basis and include:

o Communicating effectively and professionally with guests

o Appropriately greeting guests and scanning tickets

o Anticipating guest needs and concerns

o Directing guests to seating sections as well as other attractions and amenities

o Handling guest issues according to arena guidelines and code of conduct


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

o Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

o High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred

o Must be at least 18 years or older

o Must be able to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment

o Physical requirements include ability to stand for 4-6 hours at a time, without sitting, and walk up and down stairs

o Ability to interact with a diverse group of guests in a friendly and positive manner

o Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, sometimes midnight or later, weekends, all day Saturday and Sunday, and holidays

o Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

o Ability to work shifts that could last one to two (1-2) hours after an event ends

o Must be able to pass a criminal background check


Physical Demands:

o Employee is frequently required to sit; stand or walk for long periods of time (minimum 4 hours)

o Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
