The Education Foundation of the Bucks County
Intermediate Unit (Bucks IU) is excited to be holding their 20th
Annual Golf Classic Benefit on Monday October 9, 2017 at The Doylestown Country
Club, located on Country Club Lane in Doylestown Pennsylvania. Home
to a stunning and challenging 18-hole golf course and wonderful clubhouse,
offering superb cuisine, this private club will be open to the public this one
day just for this special event. All proceeds benefit the Bucks IU Education
Foundation; an independent, private, nonprofit, charitable organization whose
objective it is to fund creative and innovative educational opportunities for
Bucks County students with special needs. To date, the Education Foundation has awarded over $450,000 in grants.
The Golf Classic will
begin with a lovely buffet luncheon followed by a shotgun start of 18 holes of
golf with snacks and beverages supplied at the 5th and 13th
holes. The always exciting, and challenging, putting
contest will be a featured activity once again. Finals for the putting contest
will be held once everyone has completed their round of golf. The reception following includes an open bar,
cocktail food stations, and dinner featuring roast beef, meatballs, wings, and
ribs. During the dinner service breaks, the awards
ceremony and door prizes presentation will be held. Tickets for the full day of golf, food and activities are $200, with $35 tickets available for anyone who may wish to just attend the reception and awards ceremony. Participation in additional special 20th anniversary activities, taking place throughout
the day, is optional.
Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities
are available and range in price from $100 to $2500, and donations to the
Education Foundation are always gratefully accepted. For further information or to register,
