The 2021 Social Security wage base will increase to $142,800 from the 2020 wage base of $137,700 which is an increase of $5100.00. The maximum dollar figure will be $8,853.60 for 2021 which is a $316.20 increase from the 2020 figure of $8,537.40.
Medicare tax is still 1.45% but employees who gross in excess of $200,000 will pay an additional 0.9% tax.
