Network of
Victim Assistance (NOVA) is pleased to announce that 2Yard Ninjas of Doylestown
donated $250 to the organization. 2Yard
Ninjas (https://2yardninjas.com) was started by two sisters Rylee Decker, 14 and Grace
Decker, 11 of Doylestown who place fun signs like “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” on the lawns of people celebrating important milestones. The sisters donate a portion of the proceeds from their business to a different charity each month.
“It’s better to give back then to take it all for yourself,” said Grace Decker. “Other people need it more than you do, especially during a pandemic”. Rylee Decker adds, “I would have to say my favorite part about our lawn sign business is the people. We got the chance to help celebrate someone’s grandmother’s 100th birthday. It was sad that the family could not go into the home to see the grandmother, but you can tell she lit up when she saw the signs going up outside.”
Each month Grace and Rylee
look for a local Bucks County charity that helps the community. Both remembered NOVA coming into their
schools to talk about anti-bullying and mental health which they felt were
important topics, especially during this time.
“We are so pleased that 2Yard Ninjas chose NOVA as their charity of the month,” said Angela McGettigan, NOVA’s Director of Community Relations and Development. “It is through the kindness and generosity of people like Grace and Rylee that NOVA can continue to meet the needs of the Bucks County community. We are most grateful.”
