The summer is here and the June 2022 newsletter focuses in
on a special tax credit for employers and the value of direct deposit for
employees.
National Small Business Week was the first week of May and on the IRS website they posted a release regarding a special tax credit which can help employers hire workers. It is called the “Work Opportunity Tax Credits.” There are 10 specific groups that can qualify for this tax credit for employers and you can find that information on the IRS website and click on Newsroom.
In a survey conducted in December 2020 by the American
Payroll Association, they found roughly 95% of those surveyed have their
employees on Direct Deposit. More
business owners see the value in having their employees utilize Direct Deposit
versus handing out paper checks. Many
companies make it a requirement as the way they do business. It is a safe, easy and inexpensive vehicle
for businesses and organizations to pay their employees.
