The Payroll Factory, Inc. November 2022 Newsletter
Good morning. Fall is
here, the leaves change colors and the march toward year end is near.
The Biden Administration last month has made a proposal
regarding the classification of Gig workers/independent contractors. Currently these proposals are in the comment
period. However, the US Department of Labor is looking to potentially implement
these new rules and regulations for sometime in 2023. Keep this in your radar for your clients although
there could be lawsuits regarding this proposal.
Social Security wage base will increase in 2023 to $160,200
from $147,000 in 2022.
The Payroll Factory will be on the road for the following
CPE seminars. If attending these
seminars, please feel free to stop by my table and say hello.
11/2-11/3 PSTAP Lehigh Valley chapter in Bethlehem
11/10 and 11/30-12/01 PSTAP Bucks Mont chapter in Trevose
11/21-11/22 PSTAP Tri County chapter in Springfield
Lastly, The Payroll Factory will be closed on Thursday and
Friday November 24th and November 25th for the
Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.
Please feel free to circulate to your clients and
staff. As always, I look forward to
working with you, your associates and above all your clients. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!
Sincerely,
Steve Sabel
