Welcome to The Payroll Factory April 2023 Newsletter. The April 18th tax season deadline
is a little over 2 weeks away. One item
of note to report:
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has
raised the fine for employers failing to post non-discrimination notices (Labor
Law posters) in places both at the entity and online where the employees can
see them to $659 per violation. The most
common area of an entity to have the Labor Law Posters are in the
breakroom/lunchroom. Your clients who
utilize payroll processors should be receiving as part of their service a Labor
Law poster showing both Federal, State and in some cases based on City rules
and regulations.
