The Payroll Factory, Inc. October 2021 Newsletter
The Fall season is here and we are entering the 4th
quarter of the calendar year. Year end
is rapidly approaching and outside of the October 15th 1040 tax
deadline, accountants will be focusing in on CPE credits and tax planning for
their personal and corporate clients.
The IRS recently announced that employer sponsored health
coverage will satisfy the Affordable Care Act (ACA) affordability requirement
in 2022 if the lowest cost self only coverage doesn’t exceed 9.61% of an
employee’s income. In 2021, the threshold
was 9.83%. The dollar figure equates for
2022 at $103.14 per month versus the 2021 figure of $104.53.
If you have any business clients in the state of Florida,
the state increased on September 30th, 2021 the minimum wage from
$8.56 to $10.00 per hour.
The Payroll Factory is on the road this month as a vendor at
the Bucks-Mont chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Tax and Accounting
Professionals. The seminar will be held
at on Friday October 22nd at the Radisson in Trevose. Please stop by the table to say hello.
As always “whatever it takes,” I look forward to working
with you, your associates and above all your clients. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Steve Sabel
