In a continued effort to keep the local business community informed, SCORE Bucks County will offer four free 90-minute webinars in February.

The first, “Are You Ready to be an Entrepreneur?” will be held on Feb. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This webinar will provide participants with a better understanding of having, growing and managing a business.

Led by SCORE Bucks County certified mentor Vicki Brown, owner of Harmony Clean, the session will provide more insight on business ownership.

Topics to be discussed include:

=       How entrepreneurs can learn from their mistakes

=       How to be an expert in your field

=       How to be a multi-tasker

On Feb. 8, SCORE will offer “Setting Your Business Priority – Building a Winning Sales Culture” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Led by Anday Asava, who has directed strategic high-growth global initiatives across telecommunications, cybersecurity and automation market segments over the last 30 years, the webinar will provide start-up businesses with guidance on how to do proper sales forecasts.

Asava will cover the following:

=       How to build your sales team and understand sales personas

=       How to build repeatable sales processes

=       How to manage sales forecasting

On Feb. 15, SCORE will offer “Introduction to Commercial Real Estate” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The session will provide insight on the basics of commercial real estate, including the differences in commercial real estate and commercial leases.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of:

=       Financing

=       Purchasing

=       Leasing options

=       Investments

On Feb. 22, SCORE will present “Avoiding Scams for Small Business Owners” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The webinar will outline scams that small business owners and entrepreneurs need to be aware of.

Attendees will learn more about:

=       Various types of fraud and scams

=       Counterfeit checks, wire transfers, and gift card scams

=       What a small business needs to do if it becomes a victim of a fraud or scam

=       How educating customers about scams helps businesses and promote goodwill in the community you serve
