We enter February and for your clients, 2021 W-2’s and
1099’s should have been distributed to the employees.
I had forgotten to mention in my prior email that in regards
to FUTA, the maximum taxable wage base remains unchanged at the first $7,000.00
of wages. The tax base remains at 6%
credit for state unemployment at 5.4% with an effective rate at 0.6%.
The New Jersey Division on Civil Rights updated their Family
Leave Act notice regarding new protections for employees who must take off to
care for a family member during the Covid-19 outbreak. These protections include job security and up
to 12 weeks of unpaid family leave in a 24 month period.
