Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic (THMA) is pleased to announce that Amit Powar, MD, has been named president of THMA’s employed medical group.

Dr.
Powar comes to THMA from Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., where he served
as executive vice president for the Medical Group and Ambulatory Services. At
Mount Auburn, Dr. Powar was responsible for all aspects of operations and financial
performance of the ambulatory enterprise, which included 50 locations and
approximately 550 employees. Prior to his time at Mount Auburn, Dr. Powar
served in similar roles with Tower Heath in Pennsylvania and Northwell Health
in New York.

Dr. Powar completed his medical training at K. J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre in Mumbai, India. He earned his master’s in Health Administration degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr.
Powar resides in West Chester, Pa., with his wife and daughter.
