The Payroll Factory, Inc. October 2022 Newsletter
We are now into the fall months of the year as we sprint
toward year end and calendar year 2023.
Now is a great time
for all your clients who utilize outside payroll processors to review their
employee Masterfile information prior to yearend.
a. Verify correct spelling of the employee’s name, address and social security number since that will be on their 2022 W-2’s.
b.
Confirm and double check on the pretax
deductions that will show up in the boxes on the W-2.
c. 2% shareholder fringe benefits should be provided to the outside payroll processor prior to generating the 2022 W-2’s.
d.
Your clients should be archiving all of their
payroll reports to the cloud or at least putting those documents in a binder
when needed.
e.
Thanksgiving falls on Thursday November 24th,
Christmas falls on Sunday December 25th and New Years Day falls on
Sunday January 1st, 2023.
However, Monday December 26th and Monday January 2nd,
2023, are considered federal holidays.
Your clients should be aware of these holiday dates and plan accordingly
regarding inputting of their payroll.
The Payroll Factory is on the road Wednesday October 19th
as a vendor at the Bucks Mont chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Tax and
Accounting Professionals. If you plan on
attending, please stop by our table to chat.
Please feel free to circulate to your staff and clients. As always “whatever it takes,” I look forward to working with you, your staff and above all your clients. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Steve Sabel
